Detonating Cord

It is used in open pit and tunnel blasting, in surface coal mining production and stripping works, in underground and surface metal mining, and in blasting operations at quarries.

It is preferred in open excavations for dam and highway works, in raw material quarries of cement and lime plants, and in special blasting applications.

It is easy, practical and fast to use; when a delay relay is used, delay can be applied at the hole surface.

It is generally used in large-diameter blast holes (>64 mm) and provides high occupational safety.

It is more insensitive to friction, impact and static electricity; it is economical and easy to transport.

It is initiated with a No. 6 detonator.

It must be stored in dry, well-ventilated magazines out of direct sunlight, in accordance with Regulation No. 87/12028.

It must be kept away from cigarettes, fire, sparks, welding operations and impacts.
